Indigenous Pact Earns B Corporation Re-certification!

Once again, the Indigenous Pact team has achieved B Corp Certification status – which was recently granted after a rigorous application process and assessment. This certification is a designation that we are meeting the highest standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. To achieve certification, we:

  • Demonstrated high social performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review.
  • Made a legal commitment by ensuring our corporate governance structure is accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction.
  • Exhibited transparency by allowing information about our performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.

B Corp Certification is also a quantifiable way to demonstrate our commitment that our work will make a positive impact and not just maximize profits. As leaders in the movement for economic systems change, B Corps reap remarkable benefits. We build trust with consumers, communities, and suppliers; attract and retain employees; and draw mission-aligned investors. As we are required to undergo the verification process every three years to re-certify, B Corps are, by definition, also focused on continuous improvement, leading to our long-term resiliency.

When first certified, Indigenous Pact attained an overall score of 93.8, and our re-certification score this year improved to 100.6 – a calculation that is nearly two times higher than the median score of 50.9 for conventional businesses taking the B Impact assessment.

We’re proud to be part of the global community of Certified B Corporations building inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic impacts. For more information on our B Corp status, visit Indigenous Pact PBC, Inc – Certified B Corporation – B Lab Global.
